{Miles & Rose}

Miles and Rose decided to leave the pearls and bowtie at home this year and opted for a poolside shoot for their 2nd birthday pics. Can't even handle it! See last photo for their adorable flashback from last year's shoot.

{Gunner}

I mean just LOOK at that face! Gunner was such a good boy for his session and came all decked out with his stylish bandanas to go with those soulful eyes. Loooooooove these sessions so much!

{Gorton Family}

I just *might* have wanted to take these sweet dogs to my car and drive away with them after their session. Goldens have my heart and Walter and Pikachu were so so so dear! Seriously two of the most beautiful dogs ever. And their personalities? Well, scroll down to photo 10…..older brother Walter obviously didn’t think whatever younger brother, Pikachu, was laughing about was funny. LOL! Such a fun time with these four! And their Mama just so happens to be a sorority sister of mine I never knew I had! Small world! <3

{Lola and Cinder}

Oh, that sugar face and those beautiful eyes. Meet Lola and Cinder. Two precious girls I had the honor of photographing. Dear Cinder, the white one with the beautiful eyes, sadly passed away a few months after we took these photos. So glad her family got to have these moments with her and now have more memories they can look back on to remember her by. PLEASE include your pets in your photos. It’s so so important and will mean so much to you once they’re gone. I promise.

{Hank, Jake and Addie}

Do you have a dog? Yes?? Then PLEEEEEEEEASE let me photograph them! I can’t even tell you how much it fills my cup to get to be with these precious pups and capture their personalities. These three were SO good for me! Sat, posed and “smiled” (ha ha!) for me for their entire session. Make these memories with your pets. They’re just as much a part of your family as everyone else!

{KaiAnne}

This precious girl turned 13 on Christmas day so of course a cake smash (dog friendly cake ;) ) was in order to celebrate! And boy did she love it! Just look at her sweet face when she noticed the cake! Even licked her lips to get ready to enjoy! Happy birthday, KaiAnne!

{Ruger}

This evening's session was a hard one, but I'm so thankful to be able to give these families these moments with their senior dogs. Sadly, handsome Ruger isn't really even a "senior". He's a 7 year old Great Pyrenees Lab mix and has been battling spindle cell sarcoma in his mouth. They're praying he makes it to Christmas. You'd never know he was fighting for his life. I have never in my life seen a dog so attached to their owner. He wouldn't leave Robin's side and it was all he could do not to just jump in her arms, wrap his paws around her and hug her. He snuggled in as tightly as he could with her and she said he's been that way with her from the very beginning. He "talked" to us throughout the session with his adorable little grunts and enjoyed rolling around in the grass acting as if he was a 7 month old puppy. My heart is heavy and full at the same time. Such a beautiful, sweet soul he is. I know every bit of his sweetness will be bottled up by his family and remembered forever.

{Penny and Chewy}

I haven’t gotten to photograph a lot of little senior dogs, but oh these two were so calm and sweet! Perfect size to snuggle up with! Loved those adorable tiny faces!

{Lola}

Got to photograph another majestic Great Dane last week. This almost 10 year old beauty was SO sweet and so loved by her humans :) Lola, you are simply amazing….

{Luma|

I posted this on my Facebook page back on November 19th the night I photographed this session that will always be very near and dear to my heart…

”I received a message late last night from Kim asking me about my Golden Years sessions. She had just gotten off the phone with in-home hospice to plan sweet Luma's goodbye, which is tomorrow, and saw my post right after Kim asked if I had any time at all between last night and tomorrow to take some photos of their sweet Luma thinking that the chances were pretty slim on short notice. There was absolutely NO way I was going to say no. THIS is why I wanted to do these sessions. So, this beautiful family will have memories of her and be able to smile when they think of her long after she's gone. Their son is in the military and Luma has been his dog since he was 11, but unfortunately, he won't be home on leave until next month and won't be able to tell his sweet girl goodbye. His Mom is planning on giving him these photos as a gift for Christmas when he comes home (so I won't be sharing them anywhere but this page for now). Loved that even Kim's parents were at the session so there was even more love surrounding their beloved Golden. We took these photos on her favorite walking trail in the neighborhood. This dog was hands down one of THE sweetest dogs I've ever been around. All she wanted was to be loved on and snuggled and was the epitome of what Goldens are all about. Love. I know how hard tomorrow is going to be on this family, I've been there before, but I hope these photos will give their hearts a little hug and be a beautiful reminder of what a dear dog Luma was. And yes, I cried when I got to my car.....”
